As one of the most popular streaming services with a diverse library available today, Disney Plus has one of the smoothest user interfaces.
This exclusive streaming service offers a wide range of movies, TV shows, and documentaries at an affordable price for diverse audiences.
To enhance your streaming experience, it displays your previous watching history to suggest a similar genre and content.
However, in the case of shared accounts, this customization feature may not be ideal for others.
Besides, the Watchlist easily allows others to know what you have been watching.
But you may not find this customization feature an ideal one for private reasons, particularly if you don’t want any other user to know what kind of content you have been streaming. So, the question is

Can you delete your viewing history on Disney Plus?
The answer is NO. Unlike other platforms, you can’t view or delete viewing history on Disney Plus. But if there’s a will there’s a way too for managing your Watchlist.
You can either create multiple profiles if your account has multiple users or you can checkmark movies on your Watchlist. Once you check mark an item, you’ll have tricked the Disney Plus algorithm.
But we have a list of alternatives to delete viewing history on Disney Plus. Let’s check them out:
Alt#1: Checkmark movies, shows, and TV series from your Watchlist
Since you cannot erase or clear the Continue Watching list on Disney Plus on the go, you can checkmark some of your favourite shows, movies, and TV series from the list.
Deleting content from the Watchlist confirms to the platform’s algorithm that you aren’t interested in a certain niche.
To edit items on your Watchlist on a mobile device use the steps below:
- Launch the Disney Plus app and tap on your profile icon
- Launch the WATCHLIST and select the movies, shows, and TV shows you want to delete
- Tap on DETAILS and the Tick Icon
To remove items on your Watchlist on a web browser using the steps below:
- Navigate to the Disney Plus website and log in to your account
- Click to launch the WATCHLIST
- Select the series, shows or movies you want to delete
- Click the checkmark beside the Play icon
To edit items on your Watchlist on Xbox, PlayStation, and Apple TV:
- Launch the Disney Plus app on your Xbox/PlayStation/Apple TV
- Visit the WATCHLIST section
- Select all the movies, TV shows, and shows you want to delete
- Click on the checkmark to confirm
Once you have removed these unwanted content that includes shows, movies, and TV series from your watch list, Disney Plus automatically stops recommending similar content.
The benefit of this alternative way of deleting watch history is other users will be unaware of what you were/are watching.
Alt#2: Setup Multiple/Secondary Profiles
Often, editing the checklist may be tiring and time-consuming and you’re already frustrated editing items on your Watchlist. So, what do you do? You can simply create profiles for each user.
To create a new profile on Disney Plus on a mobile device:
- Launch the app and go to your Disney Plus profile
- Select Edit Profiles and Tap on Add Profile
- Enter a profile name and select SAVE
To create a new profile on Disney Plus on a TV or web browser:
- Launch the app and go to your profile
- Select Edit Profiles and Tap on Add Profile
- Enter the profile name and select SAVE
Once you have created profiles for each user, you no longer need to edit your Watchlist. Note: Watchlists and watch suggestions will be specific to each profile.
A user’s suggestion (and streaming preference) will not affect other users’ algorithms.
Alt#3: Fast-Forward the movies to the end
You can view the watch history (of another user) by visiting the “Continue Watching” list. Fortunately, if you are fast-forwarding a TV episode, movie, or show, remove it from the list.
In the case of a movie, fast forward it until you see the credits. But in case of a TV series (you’re disinterested in) remove it from the “Continue Watching” list by fast-forwarding its last episode.
Well, often, you may see the subsequent seasons of a particular series on the Watchlist. If the Disney Plus algorithm suggests other seasons of the TV show but you aren’t interested in it, apply Alt#1.
Disney Plus offers three different options for concealing the recently watched list.
Disney Plus offers three different options for hiding the recently watched list. Choose either Check-marking movies or shows on the Watchlist, creating multiple profiles, or the fast-forwarding videos option to overpower the Disney Plus algorithm.
Despite being time-consuming, the options are efficient, especially if you have a shared account with other users.

Q. How can I find my watch history on Disney Plus?
Unfortunately, the Disney Plus algorithm doesn’t permit you to view your watch history. While most titles you’ve watched are in the Continue Watching section, the recent content watched is only used to make recommendations. This means you can’t view every previously watched item.
Q. Is there any future possibility for Disney Plus to introduce a delete option for our watch history?
Unfortunately, Disney hasn’t released any indication that the feature is in progress. However, by filling out the Give Feedback Form you may request a Recently Watched category.
If enough users like you fill out this form, we may hope that by requesting the feature, Disney Plus developers might eventually consider and incorporate it on the platform.
Q. Will I be able to find these removed items later on Disney Plus?
Yes, you can always find movies, TV series, and documentaries on Disney Plus even after removing them. All you must do is simply search the particular content by its title (name of the movie/show).
